Check your GFCI outlets often some of the old style outlets will not trip when they go bad.
This one was in a bathroom next to a sink and would not trip when tested.
That can be so dangerous.

Pulled the old one out and put a new and improved one in.
The whole house only had a 8 awg to feed the main panel, AC, drier, stove/oven, and separate shed.
